A New School Year, A New Hobby...

Right? Like I need MORE things to do! I am going to TRY to document the Hanneman activites for the school year. Thanks to my dear friend, Jenna, for giving me this great (insane) idea. Hopefully I will be able to keep up on blogging, and at the end of the year, I will have a great keepsake book (my fingers are crossed that I can keep up with this project!).

So, I am going to start at August 14, the dreaded or greatly anticipated, First Day of School.  At my house Noah was dreading the start of 3rd Grade (me too. Noah + 3rd Grade homework = Disaster). CC, on the other hand, was full of excitement and anticipation. She was not the slightest bit nervous. She was ready to walk the halls as a kindergartener.  Me, not so much. She had been my buddy since we moved back to Jasper. We spent our first year here home together playing hide and seek, doing art projects, taking walks, playing babies, etc...our list goes on and on. Even when I went back to work, I worked part-time, so I was always with her part of the day. When Maggie arrived 16 months ago, she would nap while CC and I would catch up on our favorite reality shows (Mom of the Year...yes, my daughter watches Bachelor Pad...only sometimes). Now, that she is walking the halls of Ireland Elementary, I really miss her during the day. Sure, it is MUCH quieter while Maggie naps, and I DO get a lot more done, but I wish I could get back those days when it was just CC and I. We really are identical. Here is to a great year for my babes, Noah and CC!
Noah is ready for this first day of 3rd Grade!
CC off to Kindergarten. Where does the time go?
It is our First Day! Noah and CC are off to Ireland, while I am ready to tackle 4th and 5th grade at Hoy Family!
Maggie had a First Day too! Her first day back at Kim's.
And....they're off!
