Our Very Own Diva...

CC had her 6th birthday party a week late, on December 8, 2012.  She knew exactly what kind of birthday party she wanted....A Glamour Party.  She wanted it at our house, and she wanted nails, makeup, and hair to be done.  She was very specific.  Here is the invitation that we send out (thank you, Etsy!).

I made the house into a beauty salon.  We had an area where Taylor and Kailyn did makeup, the kitchen is where Jayme did nails, and Shannon and I created hair masterpieces in my bathroom.  We ordered pizza for lunch, and the girls devoured cookie cake as dessert. The had a great time, and CC was Diva for the day. (Who am I kidding?  This kid is a diva EVERY day)

CC is a spitfire.  She is stubborn, capable of being a bully, the pickiest eater ever, a whiner and complainer, and a crier when she doesn't get what she wants. But, in her defense, so was I at her age (my parents constantly remind me of my elementary age weaknesses).  More importantly, CC is kind, a second mommy to Maggie, a sensitive soul, intelligent beyond belief, a go getter, and has a wicked sense of humor...keep in mind she is only six.

Here is a note for my sweetie pie (and sourpuss) CC,

I can not imagine the places you will go. You are capable of so much and can do anything you put your mind to. I love your determination and go getter attitude. You are a force to be reckoned with. Always be the girl who loves to hold my hand and sit on my lap.  Always know that you deserve to be treated with respect.  Always hold your head up high, and always know that your mom has got your back. Always know that your family is here for you and you are lucky to have such a caring older brother and fun loving younger sister.  Most importantly, always know that your mom and dad love you. Always.
